Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of iplocation.us (the “Site”) and any content, tools, products or services provided by GY Security Data LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Site.

1. Eligibility & Scope

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and legally able to enter a binding contract to use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access the Site (“users”).

We may revise these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date will change when revisions are posted. Continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

iplocation.us offers

  • Free IP geolocation and networking tools (e.g., IP lookup, Port Checker).
  • Technology news and informational blog articles.
  • Advertising‑supported content via Google AdSense.

Results from our tools are provided for informational purposes only and may be approximate or inaccurate. Do not rely on them for mission‑critical decisions.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  1. Use the Site in a way that violates any local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
  2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, servers, or networks.
  3. Interfere with, disrupt, or create undue burden on the Site or the networks connected to the Site.
  4. Use any automated system (“bot,” “spider,” etc.) to access or scrape the Site without our prior written consent.
  5. Reverse‑engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of any software used to provide the Site.
  6. Upload, transmit, or otherwise make available any viruses or other harmful code.
  7. Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site—text, graphics, logos, icons, images, software, and compilation thereof—is owned by or licensed to GY Security Data LLC and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual‑property laws. You may view, download, and print individual pages for personal, non‑commercial use only, provided you keep intact all copyright and proprietary notices.

6. User Content

If you submit or post any content (e.g., comments, feedback) you grant us a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, distribute, and display such content in connection with operating and marketing the Site. You represent that you own or control all rights in any content you submit and that its use will not violate these Terms or any law.

7. Third‑Party Links & Services

The Site may contain links to third‑party websites or display ads or services not owned or controlled by us. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third‑party content, products, or services. Accessing third‑party sites is at your own risk.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error‑free.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GY Security Data LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Site—even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for all claims will not exceed fifty U.S. dollars (US $50).

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GY Security Data LLC and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your access to or use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any rights of another.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, without notice or liability, for any reason, including if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, all provisions that by their nature should survive will remain in effect, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms and any dispute arising from them will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Miami‑Dade County, Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

13. Export & Compliance

You agree to comply with all applicable U.S. and international export laws and regulations. You certify you are not located in, or ordinarily resident of, any country subject to U.S. trade sanctions.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
